ULCER TREATMENT
To treat an adult horse of 570kg dose, give 6ml orally once daily for 28 days (1ml per 95kg).
Roll the tongue out on the back of your hand, place the dose at the back of the tongue as far back as you can.
Release the dose and lift the horses head to ensure the horse swallows the dose.

ULCER PREVENTION
For an adult horse, give 1.5ml per 570kg horse per day. Continue for length of time while the horse is in work.
One syringe will treat a 570kg horse for 20 days.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
RWR EQUIGUARD Extra prevents the production of acid in the stomach by binding with the acid enzyme. Administered
through the mouth RWR EQUIGUARD Extra is then passed through the stomach and absorbed into the blood stream
where it travels to the acid secreting enzymes in the stomach. RWR EQUIGUARD Extra causes a large decrease in the
stomach fluids acid levels, allowing the ulcers to heal rapidly while preventing future ulcers with the lesser 1.5ml daily dose.

WHY USE IT?
RWR EQUIGUARD Extra is the best preventative method for stomach ulcers in horses. Stomach ulcers can
cause horses pain and discomfort which in turn effects their eating habits and behaviour, which will disrupt
their training and performance. With an untreated ulcer the horse is at risk of perforating their stomach
which usually have fatal consequences.
Some horses tolerate stomach ulcers better then others but all feel discomfort and will have an effected
performance as a result. RWR EQUIGUARD Extra maintains a horses appetite, physical condition, healthy
coat, behaviour and performance.
